What your Foreman can do if a WISHA Inspector visits your worksite:
1. If an inspector asks for permission to conduct an inspection you might state, "I submit to the Department's authority to conduct safety inspections."
2. Inform the inspector that you are not speaking for your company.
3. Photograph the same items and locations that are photographed by the inspector, even if after the inspection has ended.
4. Show all site specific work plans for the site when requested.
5. The Department cannot force you to have a private meeting with an inspector. You may ask that your Safety Director be present before the inspection commences or during an employee interview.
6. Be honest and cooperative, but do not volunteer information.
