Providing extensive experience in serious personal injury and wrongful death claims, Roger Gerdes is Of Counsel to Northcraft, Bigby & Biggs, P.C.  Roger has been a licensed pilot since 1979 and his practice focuses on claims arising from aviation and highway accidents as well as medical malpractice and product defects. He has successfully defended numerous claims against public entities, including state and municipal agencies, hospitals, universities and school districts.

After clerking in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, Roger was appointed an Assistant Attorney General in 1964; designated Senior Trial Counsel in the Torts Division in 1986, and Senior Counsel for the Attorney General’s Office in 1987. In addition to his practice in state and federal trial courts, he has handled cases before the Tax Court of the United States, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Washington Court of Appeals, and the Washington Supreme Court. His experience as a mediator and arbitrator is also well respected in the Seattle area.

Roger has served as a guest lecturer at presentations of the Washington Association of Municipal Attorneys, Washington State Bar Association, Washington State Trial Lawyers Association and the Attorney General’s Office.
